We are very excited to welcome back to our organization Dr. Daoshing Ni who will be coming to Michigan to teach a 2-day seminar on the treatment of psychological and mental conditions with Chinese Medicine.

The mission of this seminar is to provide up-to-date clinical information on the practice and treatment of common psychological and mental conditions with acupuncture and other Chinese Medicine (CM) modalities. The focus is on gaining the skills for the participants to be able to immediately apply the learnings in their clinical setting and address conditions such as ADHD and developmental disorders; depression and anxiety; bi-polar disorders; PTSD and insomnia; dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Dr. Dao will focus on acupuncture as well as the application of Qigong, nutrition, herbs, and life style management to achieve emotional and mental health from cradle to grave.

Dr. Daoshing Ni (“Dr. Dao”) is a Licensed Acupuncturist in the State of California and is a Diplomate of Chinese Herbology, NCCAOM. The 38th generation descendant of a long line of Chinese doctors, Dr. Dao is co-founder of Yo San University in the Los Angeles area of California where he is Chair of the Doctoral Reproductive program and where he teaches at the Master’s and Doctoral levels. He has been practicing Chinese medicine in its various disciplines for more than 30 years at the Tao of Wellness in Santa Monica, California, treating a multitude of conditions including cases of advanced psychological and emotional diseases.

Dr. Dao started his studies in Chinese medicine with his father, Hua-Ching Ni, at an early age. After earning his O.M.D. and Ph. D. in Oriental Medicine, he took advanced studies at both Beijing and Nanjing Colleges of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China. At the age of 19, Daoshing was the youngest person to be licensed by the California Acupuncture Board. In addition to his regular contributions to professional journals, Dr. Dao has written several books in Qigong, and co-authored "The Tao of Fertility", and "Sitting Moon: A Guide to Rejuvenation after Pregnancy".

For his contributions to the field of medicine he has been awarded SAMATA Karma Awards for Outstanding Health Professionals, in 1994, and Dr. Joyce Vargyas Visionary Award by the American Fertility Society, in 2009.
