The Journey through Fertility and Pregnancy 


We are excited to bring Jeffrey Yuen to Michigan to teach a two-day CEU course!  Experience Jeffrey Yuen’s unique approach while increasing your clinical success in treating troublesome women's health issues. This class will focus on the physiological and emotional aspects of fertility and having a healthy baby and will include treatments focused on acupuncture, herbs and essential oils. 



This two-day seminar will focus on treating women's health.  He will be including information regarding acupuncture, Chinese herbs, and essential oils. We will place an emphasis on endocrinology, the menstrual cycle, fertility, conception, pregnancy and postpartum care.

Jeffrey C. Yuen is one of the most sought-after teachers of Chinese medicine throughout the world


Jeffrey Yuen was a key figure in the development of the acupuncture program at the Swedish Institute in New York and the first PhD program in the field of Classical Chinese Medicine at the American University of Complementary Medicine in Los Angeles. He is recognized internationally as a Master of acupuncture, Classical Chinese Medicine, Daoist philosophy, Chinese herbology, Tai Chi Chuan, and Qi Gong. He emphasizes the importance of cultivating one’s life and spirit to prevent illness, and the use of Chinese medicine for understanding and treating illness.


Jeffrey Yuen's ability to elucidate and bridge Western medical thought within the context of Chinese medicine offers an essential clarity to his students rarely experienced.



Catered Lunch Options:

Due to limited lunch options within walking distance to the hall, a boxed lunch is included in the price of the event and will be catered by a local restaurant, Pizza House.  At check in daily, you can choose your lunch option for that day.  Please be sure to mention any food allergies each morning. The three options include:

1) Garden Salad - Salad Greens, Broccoli, mushrooms, red onion, tomato, cucumber, and chickpeas.  GF

2) Chicken breast, rice and steamed vegetables.  GF

3) Michigan Cherry Chipati - Warm, thick homemade Whole Wheat pita baked fresh to order, then stuffed with salad greens, gorgonzola cheese, red onions, Michigan Cherries, walnuts and served with homemade honey dijon.


Refreshments:

Coffee, tea and water will be provided throughout the day in the atrium outside of the hall.  Lunch will include green tea and/or water.


(lunch is included in the price, even if you chose to bring your own meal)

Raffle:

We will be holding a raffle for some great prizes! You can purchase tickets with cash (or cc if necessary).  Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20.  The raffle helps MAAOM fundraise to support our association. We are currently working through legislation to get full licensure for Acupuncturists in Michigan!  Raffle items include (but are nnot limited to):

HOTELS:


Please note that although there will be no football game this weekend, we still recommend booking your hotel as early as possible.  In walking distance is the Bell Tower Inn, as well as The Graduate.  There are man ther hotels within a short drive to the venue as well. 

PARKING:


Visitor Parking Palmer Drive Structure

From Washtenaw Avenue, turn on Palmer Drive, proceed approximately 100 yards to the 2nd parking entrance on your left that is marked "Visitor Parking".

  • Pull a ticket, (which is .70 per half-hour) and park on levels LL (lower level) and P1 (level 1).
  • Upon exiting your vehicle, look for large metal Maize and Blue signs that read "East Elevators."
  • Proceed towards the East Elevators (there are 3 sets of elevators in the structure: East, North and South) and follow the signs that list Palmer Commons .
  • In the elevator, push the PL Level (Plaza Level) and exit onto the outdoor plaza near the Life Science Institute entrance. Continue across the outdoor plaza to Palmer Commons; Glass House Cafe sign is visible in the vestibule window.





Cancellation Policy: Course fee less 20% administrative charge is refundable if written notice is received two (2) weeks prior to program date. No refunds will be made after that date.
