Trigger Point Dry Needling of the Upper & Lower Body Level 1

Dates: June 13th-14th, 2026

Course description:

Description: This 2-day seminar will teach practitioners the skills you need to understand and implement trigger point acupuncture, also known as dry needling, of the upper and lower body. This includes being able to identify muscles, fascia, tendon, and ligaments, incorporating the skills necessary for safe and effective Orthopedic needling, and being able to locate and needle trigger bands and trigger points. Practitioners will build confidence and clinical effectiveness after taking this seminar.

Pre-requisite videos included with the class:

  • Basics of Trigger Points and Dry Needling
  • Top 5 Skills for Safe 7 Effective Orthopedic Needling

Objectives:

After completing the in-person class and pre-requisite videos, practitioners will be able to:

  • Understand trigger point anatomy
  • Understand theories of trigger point formation
  • Understand basics of peripheral and central sensitization
  • Palpate and identify muscles of the lower body
  • Identify through palpation muscle borders, fascia, tendons
  • Identify through palpation tight bands in tissue
  • Identify risks associated with certain muscles and areas of the body
  • Identify anatomy of the femoral triangle
  • Perform specific needling skills such as anchoring, redirecting the needle, and needling to the required depth
  • Effectively needle into tight bands and trigger points covered in class
  • Obtain the local twitch response

Cancellation policy:

No refunds. For cancellations less than 2 weeks before the seminar, a credit (less $50 transaction fee) will be issued for a future seminar. Credit must be used within 1-year from the date of the seminar. If not used in that time, credit will be forfeited.

About the Instructors:

Lolane Glundal, L.Ac. Lora Lolane Glundal, L.Ac. is a licensed Acupuncturist & Chinese Herbalist with 20 years of experience. Lolane has training in a variety of areas including Orthopedics and Dry Needling and Pelvic Floor Acupuncture. She currently assists in the EXSTORE™ Orthopedic Seminars and the Pelvic Floor Certification Course, and teached Trigger Point Dry Needling with ASE Seminars LLC. In addition to this, Lolane is also certified as both a Hatha/Vinyasa and Kundalini Yoga teacher.  Lolane currently has a busy practice in Central New York. You can see Lolane’s practice website here.

Moses Alvarez, RN, L.Ac. Moses Alvarez, RN, L.Ac. is a licensed acupuncturist and registered professional nurse specializing in orthopedics and electroacupuncture. Moses has over 20 years of total experience in the fields of rehabilitation therapy, pain management and exercise science, with acupuncture specialty training in EXSTORE, pelvic floor, and trigger point dry needling.
